Mohd Kharbat

I'm pursuing research towards a PhD degree in Informatics and Sensors at Cranfield Defence and Security / Defemce Academy of the UK at Shrivenham, UK. I'm working on developing robust algorithms for visual guidance of unmanned vehicles under varying brightness conditions. My motivating application is within some early studies of spacecraft capturing operations. See below for more information about my current research.

As for my professional activities, I volunteer for the IEEE and a member of the IET. In academic year 07/08, I was president of Cranfield Students' Association at Shrivenham.

Apart from work, I quite enjoy rowing and cooking!

Current research

  • Detection using enhanced Hough transform.
  • Tracking using Hfiltering.
  • Robust brightness description for greyscale intensity images.
  • Dense optical flow using robust data fusion.
  • 3D reconstruction from image sequences.
