The usual, whatever you see here is
MY stuff and reflects my personal opinion, nothing to do with the Defence Academy, Cranfield
University or any other place/organisation/company..etc
"Just think of the tragedy of teaching
children not to doubt." Clarence Darrow
About me:
I'm a doctoral student at
Cranfield
University at the Defence Academy of the UK at
Shrivenham. My research is with the
Autonomous Systems group under the supervision of Dr Nabil Aouf
and Dr Antonios Tsourdos. I work on computer vision problems under
space environment (varying illumination, shadows, specularities
...etc). You should be able to find some more
information about my research and a couple of papers
around here along with some code that actually
works :)
I program principally in
MATLAB. I
used to be very good on National Instruments'
LabVIEW and
guess it would come back quickly if I need it. One the other hand, I've
been trying to learn C++ through Ivor Horton's tutorial book (sigh).
Apart from research, I've got quite a
few distractions: I'm the president
of Cranfield Students' Association (a.k.a. student union) at our
campus. It's really fun, we organise lots of events, trips and
fun activities. I live in Oxford where lots of things are going on
as well... In my spare time, I'm a keen
gym-goer. I also enjoy
rowing
and go for a tennis knock up every now and then! Professional wise, I used
to be more active with the
IEEE. I'm also a
member of the IET.
I regularly post links on
both sides of the page to sites I've found interesting or useful, or just
something that has caught my eye, so do have a look. I also put up some
of my news in the blog section when I feel like it.
